This lake is a little over an acre in size with depths varying from 3' to 6' and is well coloured. It is spring fed and has plenty of features including three small islands. The margins are well grown and some reed and lily beds offer a good challenge to the carp angler.
There are only 7 well spaced pegs so booking is advisable during the summer months. All 7 pegs are a short walk from the car park, but there is lakeside parking for the disabled angler together with a large fishing platform.
The lake is well stocked with common and mirror carp from 5 lb to 25lb +. The average fish is 14 lb. The lake record is 25½ lb.
We only allow experienced fishermen to fish this lake, and don’t hire tackle for it. Anglers must bring their own gear, suitable for handling large fish.

Carp Lake Rules
Fishing from pegs only.
Barbless or micro barbed hooks may be used.
Suitable unhooking mats for large carp must be used.
Carp landing nets only - minimum 30 inch.
12lb minimum line.
No fixed leads.
No trout pellets, nuts, beans or bloodworm.
Maximum 2 rods.
Fish must be returned to the water immediately after capture.
All nets and mats must be dipped thoroughly in tanks provided.
Please dispose of unused bait and litter in the bins provided.
