The trout lake is well stocked with Rainbow Trout, between 1 & 3 lbs. It extends to an acre in size, with 20 well spaced pegs. Both fly and bait fishing are permissible, but bait fishing is restricted to one side of the lake.
This lake is four years old, has an average depth of eight feet and at its deepest goes down to fifteen.
We do have a limited number of fly and bait rods for hire, but pre-booking is strongly advised for tackle hire, we also keep a stock of flies, bait and other tackle on sale in the cabin.
Tickets must be purchased before fishing, and are available from the cabin, or, if no-one is onsite, telephone 07759 871327 or 07753 818414.

£11.00 3 fish
£16.00 5 fish
£18.00 adult & child (6 fish)
£10.00 sport (fly only)
£8.00 sport (fly only) after 5.00p.m.
Please inform cabin of catch before leaving. Tackle hire £2.00 rod and net. Replacement hooks, floats and flies on hire tackle will be charged for.
Trout lake rules
No ground baiting, spinning, power bait or trout pellets.
If fishing on a kill ticket ALL fish must be killed.
One rod fished at a time.
Anyone found with more than the bag limit will be charged double pound rate and asked to leave.
On sporting tickets, barbless hooks only.
NO BOXES OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ON LAKESIDE (seat boxes, picnic boxes etc).
All catches must be reported to cabin after fishing.
Please dispose of unused bait and litter carefully in the bins provided.
